The Vision
Crossroads Church has been called by God to become:
An authentic biblical community, loving, encouraging and sharpening one another daily…
We see a community that gathers in homes around the city to pray for, connect with and serve one another and their city with an authenticity that surpasses friendship, a family that is ever-growing in number and maturity in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. We see a community of diverse tribes and ages united under the singular name and mission of Jesus Christ
.…with a passion for Jesus Christ bridled by the Truth…
We see a people infused with a burning passion for Jesus Christ built upon the solid framework of the timeless revelation of God through Scripture, a church that is unapologetically tethered to the Word and unconditionally loving of its city.
…where Scripture translates into life as biblical wisdom guides practical decisions…
We see a people seeking the whole counsel of God in every aspect of their lives, continuously worshiping as faithful stewards of their time, talent, and treasure for the Glory of Jesus Christ and the good of their city.
…producing favor with the city…
We see a church that builds favor in the city, serves the city, loves the city and seeks the transformation and good of the city.
…and perpetual replication.
We see a church that continuously replicates itself, making passionate followers of Jesus, training and equipping them as leaders, and sending them out to plant churches.
We love Jesus. We love our city. We want the two to meet.
This vision will become reality by a commitment to
Community Groups
Community Groups will gather in homes and condos and dorm rooms across the city to learn, share, pray, connect, and serve one another and the city.
Expository, Gospel-centered Preaching
The centerpiece of our Sunday gathering will be expository, gospel-centered preaching. The primary goal of preaching will be to spread a passion for the God’s glory through the person and work Jesus Christ as He is revealed in Scripture.
Weekend Conferences
Our weekend conferences will address practical life issues, providing biblical wisdom on a myriad of topics—financial planning, parenting, marriage and sex, biblical manhood and womanhood, job training, buying a house, how to read the Bible, etc. These conferences will be open to the surrounding community, and content and topics will be focused on felt-needs within the community.
Community Engagement
We seek to serve the city. We will serve the city by understanding the greatest needs of our neighbors and working together to meet those needs. We seek to welcome the city. We will welcome the city by meeting in Westover Park on Sunday evenings throughout the spring and summer for football, softball, cookouts and celebration, and hosting family movie nights throughout the fall and winter. We seek to transform the city. We will see the city transformed by Jesus through establishing gospel-centered relationships as we work, play, and live within the city. We will seek the transformation of the city by giving generously of our time, talent and treasure to support the Labor of Love local crises pregnancy center, Chestnut Mountain Ranch boy’s home, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and other local efforts.
2 Tim. 2:2 Discipleship
We seek to continuously disciple the irreligious into mature Christians and the men into community group leaders, elders and church planters who are continuously training others in their wake.
