The Sword and the Trowel – Details and Registration

Carpooling from Crossroads Church (Morgantown and Fairmont)

We’ll navigate the cliffs on the Cliffside Trail, find the waterfalls, enjoy the overlook views, and cookout for lunch!  The goals are:

  • Have fun on a challenging trail
  • Enjoy the insane beauty of God’s creation
  • Hang out with brothers for fellowship and friendship 
  • Be challenged and encouraged from the Word by one of Crossroads’ pastors

Hawks Nest State Park – Cliffside Trail

Trail stats:

  • 1.8 mi. loop
  • 364 ft. elevation gain (that’s a lot for 1.8 mi.)
  • rocky, cliff-side portions
Schedule:

  • 7:00am – meet at Crossroads to carpool

  • 07:30am to 10:30am – travel to Hawks Nest

  • 10:30am to 12:00pm – hiking

  • 12:00pm to 01:30pm – eating & devotional

  • 01:30pm to 02:00pm – clean up

  • 02:00pm to 05:00pm – return to Morgantown
